Tora Ge'per

Tora Ge'per was born in the Mid Rim during the waning years of the Galactic Republic to spacers. Her parents were merchants who plied the hyperlanes selling commodities and made a modest living and Tora grew up in a loving-if isolated-family. She liked to befriend the children of her parents' clients and keep in touch with them via email, giving her an extensive digital network of friends to make up for her lack of physical companionship. Despite this her life was happy and she grew up to be a good natured and strong teen with a knack for computers and despite being a little socially awkward when it came to her personal feelings she was a very outgoing person. With the start of the Clone Wars her life became very different however, her parents were killed during the opening offensives launched by the Separatists, Tora only surviving because her father threw her into their freighter's escape pod before it was destroyed. Picked up by Republic forces, she was later transferred to a supply station where she recovered from her injuries and began to rebuild her life. She volunteered to work as an aid worker during the Clone Wars, going to refugee worlds and helping the victims of the ongoing conflict. When the war ended and the Galactic Empire was declared, Tora decided she could do more with her life and applied for the Stormtrooper Corps, being one of the first women accepted to the Corps. Being a female in a male-and clone-dominated organization was tough but Tora excelled and proved she was as good or better than her peers, graduating near the top of her class. She was sent to the 801st Legion under Commander Niklos, a veteran Clone Marshall Commander from the Clone Wars. Under the taciturn Commander Tora saw her first combat and understood just what it was she had signed up for when her entire squad was wiped out on her first mission. Surviving the ordeal, she went on to become one of the 801st's rising stars and at the same time began to fall in love with Commander Niklos. She revealed her feelings to him during a ball and the pair began a brief and intimate romance. It was one of the happiest moments in Tora's life but it didn't last long. Commander Niklos called the relationship off and had her transferred to another unit, saying his advanced aging would come between them over time. Tora was devastated, but instead of letting her heartbreak crush her, she used it to galvanize her and she fought all the harder in her duties to the Empire to prove both to herself and indirectly to her former Commander that she was worthwhile. She served the Empire up until the Battle of Endor, being kidnapped shortly thereafter by a mysterious Mandalorian. She discovered that her kidnapper was an old friend of Commander Niklos who had defected following the defeat at Endor and had received an anti-aging serum though he was well into his sixties now. He'd arranged the meeting between himself and Tora to see if they might have a second chance. For her part Tora had never stopped loving Niklos and seeing him again, even aged as he was, was the culmination of her dreams and when he asked her to leave the Empire and make a new life with him she didn't hesitate to say yes to him and the pair soon found themselves living with the Gotevaar'la clan on Mandalore's third moon where Tora began to understand Niklos' past and what had made him the man she'd fallen in love with as a green trooper.
